BATU KAWAN: The NSTP Light Sensory Room: Family Fiesta of Lights booth has attracted strong interest from visitors at the Karnival Jom Heboh (KJH) in Penang.

Introduced for the first time on the KJH tour, the attraction features light- and sensor-based technology, offering a unique multi-sensory experience.

Visitors can dance along with interactive light projections while enjoying soft visual effects, synchronised sounds, aromas, and lighting.

Print Tower Sdn Bhd chief operating officer Luqman Adrine Ja’afar said the booth helps the public engage with new technology.

“We are pleased with the response and plan to bring this attraction to the next KJH tour,” he said.

Earlier, Luqman was seen visiting the NSTP booth alongside Media Prima Omnia chief operating officer Datuk Mohd Efendi Omar and Media Prima News and Current Affairs deputy group managing editor and New Straits Times group editor Farrah Naz Abd Karim.

The NSTP booth was also visited by several celebrities, including singer Nabila Razali, who experienced the “magical” light-based technology firsthand.

Meanwhile, NSTP business development and special projects manager Tengku Kaifimirza Tuan Cherit@Tengku Hamzah said the creative photo contest is still ongoing and will conclude at 2pm tomorrow, with winners of mystery prizes announced at 5pm.

“Tickets are priced at RM20 per family, and participants must take the most creative photos or videos and upload them on Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok with tags @NST_ONLINE, @BERITAHARIAN, and @HARIANMETRO, followed by the hashtag #NSTPFIESTAOFLIGHTS,” he said.

Tengku Kaifimirza also reminded participants of the Jom Heboh Fun Run, held in conjunction with KJH’s 22nd anniversary at 6.30am tomorrow, to arrive early to avoid traffic congestion.

Participants will also receive a free cup of tea sponsored by Alzara Foods Sdn Bhd, with 500 cups available starting at 8am.

The company will also provide free tea to visitors at the Alzara booth during KJH Penang.

KJH offers a wide range of activities, performances, and special surprises for the whole family, including Street Soccer 3-on-3, Karaoke Drama Sangat competitions, Soopa Doopa games, free health and dental screenings, archery activities, Zumba and Pound Fitness challenges, and Jom Lokal Jam.

Other attractions include the Open Traditional Dance Competition Drama Sangat, Buletin Challenge, Meet and Greet sessions with TV3 drama actors and TV9 personalities, Kids Colouring Contest, Tonton Thrill Haunted House, and for the first time, the Jom Heboh Fun Run on Sunday morning.
