KLANG: An unemployed man was shot dead in a petrol station in Bukit Tinggi, here, late last night.
Selangor police chief Datuk Shazeli Kahar said the Klang Selatan police operations room received a distress call at 11.13pm on the incident.
“We received information that a shooting had occurred at the petrol station. Investigations revealed that the victim, a 34-year-old unemployed local man, was shot several times by an unidentified assailant,” he said in a statement today.
Shazeli said investigations revealed the gunman had fired several rounds at the front section of the victim’s vehicle, with bullets striking the victim’s upper body.
“The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder. We are still in the midst of conducting further investigations into the motive of the incident,” he said.
He urged anyone who witnessed the shooting or has any information to come forward and assist investigations.
