KUALA LUMPUR: The police have completed their investigation into a woman known as “Inspector Sheila,” who allegedly insulted police officers conducting a routine inspection on a foreign man driving without a licence along Jalan Ipoh here last Tuesday (Nov 4).

Kuala Lumpur police chief Comm Datuk Fadil Marsus said the investigation papers will be submitted to the Deputy Public Prosecutor soon for further action.

“We have completed our investigation and will refer the papers to the DPP with recommendations for possible charges,” he told reporters after attending the “Selawat and Munajat Perdana event organised by KL police at Masjid Al-Sultan Abdullah on Friday (Nov 7).

It was reported that during the incident on Nov 4, the woman allegedly accused the on-duty officers of being ignorant of the law and belittled their actions, claiming that they had threatened the foreign national involved.

Following the confrontation, one of the officers lodged a police report, and the case is being investigated under Section 186 of the Penal Code for obstructing a public servant from carrying out their duties and Section 14 of the Minor Offences Act for insulting behaviour.

A video of the incident later went viral on social media, showing the woman accusing the police of threatening a Pakistani motorcyclist.
