SAPP, together with Sabah STAR, led by Datuk Seri Jeffrey Kitingan, left Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) on Oct 1 after going against the local coalition’s move to team up with national Pakatan Harapan.
SAPP and STAR are expected to work together under a loose coalition, Gabungan Bersama Sabah (GBS).
According to the party’s official statement, SAPP’s culture of discipline and good organisation made it the first political party to announce candidates.
