The realme GT 8 Pro made its official debut in China last month. Currently, the brand is preparing for the device’s global release. According to GSMArena, the launch is slated for 20 November 2025. However, this date is for an event in India, with no indication that the phone will launch elsewhere at the same time.
The flagship phone sports a 6.79-inch 2K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, as well as a peak brightness of 7,000 nits. For dust and water resistance, the smartphone comes with IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings.

Under the hood, realme has equipped the handset with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, paired with its in-house Hyper Vision+ AI chip. Keeping the lights on is a 7,000mAh battery with support for 120W wired and 50W wireless charging. For software, the phone will run Android 16-based realme UI 7.0 right out the box.
Of course, the highlight of the GT 8 Pro is its imaging system. Developed in collaboration with Ricoh, it comprises a 50MP 1/1.56-inch primary sensor, a 200MP 1/1.56-inch periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultrawide camera. Meanwhile, the front houses a 32MP selfie snapper.

The camera island also comes with a unique feature. To be more specific, the deco is removable. This allows users customise the phone’s appearance. realme has introduced three different options, but those looking for a bit more flair have the option to create and 3D print their own designs.
Based on the teasers posted on realme’s X account, it seems only two colours will be available internationally: Diary White and Urban Blue. The former features a smooth frosted glass design, while the latter has a “paper-like” texture.
As for when the phone will arrive in Malaysia, realme has yet to mention a specific date. For what it’s worth, though, the company did confirm that it will bring the phone here this month.
