Foreign man found dead on Puchong staircase, police suspect foul play

SERDANG, Nov 7 — A man believed to be a foreign national was found dead, suspected to have been murdered, on the staircase of a shophouse in Puchong Jaya here yesterday.

Serdang district police chief ACP Muhamad Farid Ahmad, when contacted, confirmed the discovery of the man’s body.

“We will issue an official statement regarding this incident soon,” he said.

It is understood that the victim, who was working here, was renting a room in the shophouse, and his body was found by a member of the public at about 8.30pm before authorities arrived at the location for further action.

Members of the PDRM Dog Detection (K9) Unit, along with a sniffer dog, were also seen combing the location to assist in the investigation and handling of the body. — Bernama
