KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia’s announcement on the suspension of trading for Pertama Digital’s shares have led to a significant drop in its share price today.
The stock tumbled 68.2 per cent to hit an intraday low of three and a half sen from its closing price of 11 sen on Thursday.
The stock opened lower at nine sen and continued to trend downward during the first half of the trading session.
As at 12pm, Pertama Digital’s shares dropped 59.09 per cent or six and a half sen to four and a half sen, with more than 60 million shares traded.
On a year-to-date basis, the stock plunged 76.32 per cent. Its market value currently stands at RM48.2 million.
Bursa announced on Thursday that Pertama Digital’s shares will be suspended on Nov 14 after the company failed to meet its regularisation plan submission deadline.
The software company was supposed to submit the plan by the extended deadline of Oct 31 which was previously granted by the regulator.
In a statement earlier today, Pertama Digital said it had submitted an application to Bursa on Oct 31 for another extension up to Feb 28 next year.
