Parliamentary committee summons ministries and contractors over vehicle concession agreements and e-Jamin bail collection system issues.
KUALA LUMPUR: The Public Accounts Committee has initiated proceedings concerning government vehicle management and the e-Jamin bail system following findings in the Auditor-General’s Report 3/2025.
PAC chairman Datuk Mas Ermieyati Samsudin confirmed the committee summoned the Ministry of Finance regarding vehicle management on November 3.
Proceedings on the e-Jamin system occurred on November 4 with the Chief Registrar of the Federal Court.
“The PAC will summon the Health Ministry, Defence Ministry and Home Ministry,” Mas Ermieyati said regarding the vehicle concession agreements.
These three ministries maintain the largest vehicle fleets managed under concession arrangements.
The committee will also call SPANCO Sdn Bhd, the company involved in the vehicle concession.
Regarding e-Jamin, Mas Ermieyati said the PAC will summon contractor Dapat Vista (M) Sdn Bhd and the Treasury Secretary-General for further clarification.
Dewan Rakyat Speaker Tan Sri Johari Abdul has approved the PAC’s proposal to organise a National PAC Conference next year.
Mas Ermieyati announced this following a joint meeting with state Public Accounts Committee chairmen and legislative assembly representatives.
The meeting aimed to strengthen cooperation and governance sharing between parliamentary and state PACs. – Bernama
