KUCHING, Nov 5 — A man was injured after a tree fell and crushed the car he was driving on Jalan Sultan Tengah here this afternoon.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Sarawak said the incident occurred at 2.16pm.
A team from the Petra Jaya fire station arrived at the scene within five minutes of a report to find the car’s roof severely damaged by the fallen tree.
The driver sustained a shoulder injury, while two women and a boy travelling with him were unharmed.
Members of the public had helped all occupants out of the car before firefighters arrived.
The driver received first aid from Malaysian Red Crescent members at the scene.
Firefighters worked to clear the fallen tree and debris to the safety of other road users. — The Borneo Post
