KUALA LUMPUR: Big Tree has launched the “Komen atau Tidak?” (To Comment or Not?) campaign to encourage Malaysians to think before posting comments online and promote a culture of empathy and mindfulness in the digital space.
With the tagline “Fikir Dahulu, Berkata Baik Selalu” (Think First. Speak Kindly Always), the initiative urges internet users to pause and reflect before expressing opinions online, as part of efforts to curb the growing issue of cyberbullying in the country.
Big Tree chief operating officer Stephanie Wong said the campaign reflects the company’s belief that its platforms can be used not only for advertising but also to inspire social change.
“At Big Tree, we believe our billboards can do more than advertise — they can inspire change.
‘Komen atau Tidak?’ is our way of encouraging everyone to pause, reflect, and choose kindness.
“This campaign is about empathy and respect, but also about taking responsibility — by educating one another and changing what we can control: our own words and actions online.”
The campaign comes amid a steady rise in reports and complaints linked to cyberbullying in recent years.

Wong said Big Tree is leveraging its extensive network of digital billboards to raise awareness and foster a more positive online environment.
Through its billboards across cities, expressways, transit networks and retail hubs, the company aims to turn everyday advertising spaces into visual reminders promoting kindness and responsible digital behaviour.
In an interactive twist, the campaign invites members of the public to submit their best advice or gentle reminders on how to comment positively online.
The three most inspiring entries will be featured on Big Tree’s digital billboards nationwide and rewarded with cash prizes.
Wong said this approach allows Malaysians themselves to contribute meaningfully to a collective message of compassion.
The submission period runs from Nov 6 to Dec 4.
