Samsung had showcased its upcoming tri-fold smartphone, tentatively named the Galaxy Z TriFold, at the 2025 K-Tech Showcase. While we were unable to attend the event and examine the device firsthand, a video posted by SBS News and Omokgyo Electronics offers a clear view of the foldable from various angles.

Being a unique smartphone, the first object of interest was naturally the dual hinges. Compared to the Huawei Mate XT, the Galaxy Z TriFold features two different-sized hinges, with the one on the left appearing wider than the one on the right.

When the device is unfolded, the cover screen moves to the right, and the other two panels take up the area beside it. As mentioned in our prior reports, the smartphone is sporting a 6.5-inch cover screen and a 10-inch folding OLED display.

It’s worth mentioning that when the device is fully unfurled, it is incredibly thin, to the point that it is reminiscent of the Galaxy Z Fold7. Unfortunately, Samsung has yet to reveal the device’s official dimensions, but 9to5Google previously reported that it measures between 12 and 15 mm thick when fully folded. The publication also noted that the bezels are more noticeable than the tech giant’s recent foldables, with estimates suggesting they are a millimetre or two thicker.

Looking at the device from the back, it is indeed very much like the Fold7, barring the additional, camera-less segment. That said, you can still find the power button and the volume keys on the right-hand side of the device. GSMArena claims that the power button also functions as a fingerprint scanner, similar to the previously mentioned Samsung foldable, though no one has confirmed this yet.

Unfortunately, other details, such as the launch date, have yet to be revealed, let alone whether it will see a wider global release. However, 9to5Google reported that Samsung still intends to launch the device before the end of the year.
