KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 5 — The Domestic Trade Ministry has recorded the most graft investigations since 2022, part of a total of 87 the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) opened across all federal ministries, Parliament was told.
Prime Minister’s Department (Law and Institutional Reform) Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said disclosed this yesterdayy in a written reply to o Hulu Terengganu MP Datuk Rosol Wahid.
“Between 2022 and September 29, 2025, the MACC has opened 87 investigation papers involving cases of corruption at the ministerial level,” she said.
In a provided breakdown, the Domestic Trade Ministry topped the list with 14 cases. This was followed by the Home Ministry with 11, while the Education and Finance ministries each recorded eight.
Other ministries with multiple investigations include the Prime Minister’s Department (seven), the Defence Ministry (six), the Rural and Regional Development Ministry (five), and the Health and Higher Education ministries (four each).
