KOTA BARU: A Malaysian man was seriously injured after being shot at a house in Suhang, Golok, Thailand, yesterday.
The incident occurred at around 6.40pm local time and is believed to have followed a heated argument between the 33-year-old victim and the suspect.
The victim, who is believed to be from Pasir Mas, is currently receiving treatment at Suhang Hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.
A Kelantan police spokesperson said the shooting is suspected to have stemmed from a dispute over debt.
“Suspect and victim are believed to have argued before the shooting occurred. Police also seized a 9mm pistol used by the suspect,” the spokesperson said.
The spokesperson added that police are actively hunting down the suspect, who fled the scene after the incident.
