Sabah chairman says seat allocation talks with PH nearly 70% complete, with final discussions scheduled for early November.

SANDAKAN: Seat allocation negotiations between Barisan Nasional and Pakatan Harapan for the upcoming Sabah state election have reached their final stage with nearly 70% of discussions concluded.
Sabah chairman Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin confirmed that several seats still require finalisation between the two coalition partners to reach a mutual agreement.
He announced plans to meet with PH leaders on November 3 or 4 to resolve the remaining seat allocation issues.
Bung Moktar attributed the delay in finalising seat distribution to both parties expressing interest in contesting the same constituencies.
The chairman also confirmed that his coalition would be reducing the number of seats it contests compared to previous elections.
Sabah BN had previously stated its intention to contest 48 seats in the upcoming state election.
Nomination day for the Sabah state election is set for November 15 with polling scheduled for November 29. – Bernama
