KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia’s men’s doubles Goh Sze Fei–Nur Izzuddin Rumsani suffered a surprise defeat against Denmark’s Daniel Lundgaard–Mads Vestergaard in the second round of the Hylo Open today.
World No. 4 Sze Fei–Izzuddin hardly put up a fight, losing 21-9, 21-19 to world No. 26 Lundgaard–Vestergaard in Saarbrücken, Germany.
The defeat put the Malaysian duo at risk of dropping out of the top four in the world rankings.
