KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 28 — Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man has been appointed as the new chairman of Perikatan Nasional (PN) in Pahang, replacing Indera Mahkota MP Datuk Seri Saifuddin Abdullah.
Saifuddin congratulated Tuan Ibrahim on the appointment and said he had reached out to express his full support for the PAS deputy president’s leadership.
“Although I am no longer Pahang PN chairman, I would like to offer the Indera Mahkota Parliamentary Service Centre to continue being used as the Secretariat Office for PN Pahang’s elected representatives,” he said in a statement today.
He added that recent leadership changes, including Datuk Abdul Khalib Abdullah’s appointment as Pahang Bersatu chief, were part of a broader effort to introduce fresh faces and strengthen Pahang PN’s push to realise the goal of “PN Leading Pahang.”
The leadership shuffle was confirmed in a PN Supreme Council (MPTN) meeting chaired by PN chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
In a statement last night, PN secretary-general Datuk Seri Azmin Ali announced that Saifuddin and Perlis Chief Minister Mohd Shukri Ramli had been replaced as chairmen in Pahang and Perlis, respectively.
The chairmanships now rest with Tuan Ibrahim in Pahang and Arau MP Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim in Perlis.
