Malaysia, Vietnam move to finalise strategic partnership action plan at Asean Summit, says Anwar

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 28 — Malaysia and Vietnam today discussed efforts to finalise the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Action Plan between both countries, on the sidelines of the 47th Asean Summit and Related Summits.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ibrahim said the bilateral meeting with his Vietnamese counterpart Pham Minh Chinh also focused on expanding cooperation in trade, investment, electrical and electronics, artificial intelligence, semiconductors and the halal industry.

“The meeting also aimed to strengthen green energy cooperation through the Gentari-TNB-Petrovietnam project involving wind and solar energy,” he said.

said both countries also exchanged views on regional and global issues, including food security, transnational crime, the South Sea and Myanmar, with a shared commitment to safeguarding regional peace, stability and prosperity.
