KUALA LUMPUR: Police have crippled a drug trafficking syndicate distributing “bunga ganja” (marijuana buds) in the Klang Valley, seizing over half a million ringgit worth of drugs during an operation in Old Klang Road last Friday.
Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Fadil Marsus said the operation by the Kuala Lumpur Narcotics Crime Investigation Department (NCID) led to the arrest of a local man and woman, aged 47 and 56, during a 3.20pm raid at a condominium carpark in Jalan Klang Lama on Oct 25.
“Upon inspecting the Proton Exora the suspects were in, officers found 18.5 kilogrammes of suspected ganja buds worth RM553,500,” he said in a statement today.
