KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 26 — US President Donald Trump today claimed that his administration has ended eight wars in eight months since he returned to the White House — a feat he says none of his predecessors have accomplished.
Speaking on the sidelines of the Asean Summit 2025, Trump said he has deployed “a lot of people” to resolve the conflict in Gaza.
He also appeared confident about ending the ongoing conflict between Afghanistan and Pakistan too, citing his strong relations with Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his army chief Asim Munir.
“On behalf of the United States, I’m proud to help settle this conflict and forge a future for this region where proud, independent nations can prosper and thrive in safety, security and peace,” Trump said, at the KL Peace Accord signing ceremony.
He also thanked Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim for convening his Thai and Cambodian counterparts here today for the peace agreement.
