Dream come true for Danish as Moto3 move confirmed

SEPANG: As expected, Hakim Danish Ramli will be racing in the Moto3 World Championship as a full season rider next year with MSI Racing Team, the team confirmed today (Oct 25).

Danish will race alongside Japanese rider Ryusei Yamanaka for the Spanish outfit in the lightweight class next season.

The Terengganu-born, who is currently competing at the ongoing Petronas Grand Prix of Malaysia on a Moto3 wildcard, said it was a dream come true.

“Of course, this news makes me really happy and gives me extra motivation and spirit to push harder this weekend (at Malaysian GP),” said Danish today.

“I am so excited to be joining Moto3 next year with MSI, it is truly a dream come true. I am really looking forward to next year and will give my absolute 100 per cent.”

MSI Racing Team sport manager Oscar Manzano was pleased to welcome Danish on board.

“We are delighted to announce that Danish will be competing in the Moto3 World Championship next season,” said Manzano.

“As we have said on other occasions, our goal is to work our way up to MotoGP together with our riders.

“We set up a special project with Danish, making him our sole rider in the JuniorGP competition (this season).

“We are very proud of this step forward, as it fulfils our team philosophy to accompany and guide our riders from the lower categories all the way to the top.”

The 18-year-old will be the first full season rider in the world championships since Syarifuddin Azman, who competed in Moto3 in 2023.

Danish created history after finishing third overall in the Red Bull Rookies Cup this season. It was the highest-ever placing by a Malaysian in the prestigious MotoGP feeder series.

Danish is currently ninth overall from over 30 riders competing in the FIM Junior GP Championship with two rounds remaining this season.
