Pakatan Harapan says seat negotiations with Gabungan Rakyat Sabah ahead of the state election on Nov 29 have reached the final stage.
PH secretary-general Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said he was in Kota Kinabalu last week for a meeting with GRS representatives, but added that “negotiations do not end in one round”.
“When they are done, I will inform our friends,” Saifuddin, who is also the home minister, told a press conference here today.
Asked about the possibility of three-cornered fights among PH, GRS and Barisan Nasional, Saifuddin said it was still too early to tell.
“It is premature for me to assume. I have already said that I will continue negotiations … if I say today that there will be three-cornered fights, that would not be nice,” he said.
On Sunday, BN chairman Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said BN and PH have finalised their seat distribution to ensure the two coalitions do not clash in the polls.
