PETALING JAYA:

National men’s doubles shuttlers Man Wei Chong-Tee Kai Wun, who skipped the last two international tournaments, made a strong comeback at the French Open today.

The duo, who moved up three spots to No 5 in world standing in the latest list, beat ‘s world No 23 pair Kang Min Hyuk-Ki Dong Ju 21-9, 21-13 in just 30 minutes.

The Malaysian pair had taken a break from the Arctic Open and Denmark Open after a hectic year.

The duo won two titles this season, namely the Malaysia and Indonesia Masters.

Wei Chong-Kai Wun will next meet compatriots Nur Azriyn Ayub-Tan Wee Kiong or England’s Ben Lane-Sean Vendy.
