SHAH ALAM, Oct 16 — police chief Datuk Shazeli Kahar confirmed that a letter was found on the 14-year-old student suspected of stabbing a 16-year-old schoolmate to death at a secondary school in Bandar Utama.

According to Shazeli, the handwritten note was found when the suspect was detained by police.

“The letter was found on the suspect during his arrest, not in the toilet where the murder took place.

“The note is being analysed by the investigating officer,” New Straits Times quoted him as saying during a press conference yesterday.

According to several other reports, among the words the letter contained are “This world is fake. I have already won.”

The police said the suspect had feelings for the victim, but kept it to himself.

Shazeli noted that police cannot yet confirm the state of the suspect’s mental health, but further screening will be conducted as the investigation progresses.

The initial investigation revealed that the suspect used a multi-purpose knife, which he bought online, to stab the victim in the chest and neck multiple times.

Shazeli said the suspect has been remanded for seven days until Oct 21, and the case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
