KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 15 — A power outage affecting parts of the Klang Valley and Johor Bahru has been linked to an incident at the Edra Power Plant, a private generating station in Melaka, Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) confirmed today.
This afternoon, social media users reported that several areas in the Klang Valley were affected, including PJ Old Town, SS2, Section 8, Universiti Malaya, Bukit Damansara, and Mont Kiara.
Popular hubs such as Mid Valley Shopping Mall, Pavilion Damansara Heights, Sunway Velocity and TRX were also reportedly hit.
Outages were also reported in other areas, including Johor Bahru, Melaka, Ipoh, Kuantan, and Sendayan.
In a Facebook post, TNB said its technical teams were working to restore electricity to affected areas in stages.
“We appreciate your patience and regret any inconvenience caused,” the company added.
