KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 13 — A female student and Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) candidate was found dead at a house in Kuala Klawang in Jelebu, Negeri Sembilan last Saturday.

Negeri Sembilan Police Chief Datuk Alzafny Ahmad said the 17-year-old teenager was discovered dead in one of the rooms of her family home, according to a report published in Harian Metro today.

“At 11.50pm on Saturday, the Kuala Klawang Police Station received a call from a medical officer at Jelebu Hospital informing us of the incident.

“We were told that a local teenage girl was found dead inside a house in Kuala Klawang,” he said in a statement.

He added that preliminary police investigations found the victim in the first room of a single-storey terrace house.

“We found that the house is the family residence, and the deceased reportedly locked the room from the inside.

“Further examination of the body did not reveal any signs of struggle or criminal activity. Additionally, there were no signs of a break-in or missing personal belongings of the victim,” he said.

He said an autopsy procedure was carried out around 10am yesterday.

“The case has been classified as sudden death. Police advise the public not to speculate or spread unverified information that could harm the public or the victim’s family,” he added.
