KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 13 — A staff member of the Hulu Selangor Municipal Council (MPHS) died after reportedly suffering a heart attack while cycling alone in front of the Caltex Batu 30 petrol station on the Kuala Lumpur–Ipoh Road, Kuala Kubu Bharu, yesterday.
Utusan Malaysia reported that police received information from the public at 11.15am about a man found unconscious at the location.
Hulu Selangor District Police Chief, Superintendent Ibrahim Husin, said preliminary investigations found that the 39-year-old victim was cycling alone.
“Examination of the body found no external injuries, signs of a struggle, or elements of criminal activity,” he said in a statement today.
He added that the body was sent to the Forensic Unit of Kuala Kubu Bharu Hospital for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
“The autopsy confirmed that the cause of death was a heart attack. The case has been classified as a sudden death report,” he explained.
He also urged anyone with information about the incident to contact Investigating Officer, Sergeant Siti Khadijah, at 03-6064 1222 or any nearby police station to assist with the investigation.
