KUALA LUMPUR, October 10 – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim shared some details of what he wore to his Budget 2026 presentation via his social media earlier.
Anwar‘s outfit of the day (OOTD) was a light blue baju Melayu complete with songkok and a floral blue samping while holding a songket-patterned folder as he walked into Parliament.
His light blue cekak musang baju Melayu is from Kuala Lumpur with its buttons coming from Pahang while his black songkok is from Johor and his traditional sandals or capal are from Capal Jago Kepala Batas which is based in Kedah.
The samping worn by Anwar came from the Marang prison in Terengganu while his folder was made specially by young persons with disabilities (PWD) from Sarawak-based social enterprises Heart Treasures and Tanoti Sdn Bhd.
A brief check on Tanoti website showed the black bag coined as Songket Document Folio is being sold at RM1,800 while Capal Jago Kepala Batas has been making traditional sandals since 1958 and they are priced at RM205 per pair.
Anwar’s OOTD post has garnered over 7,000 likes on Facebook at the time of writing and has been shared over 300 times with many amused by PMX OOTD take.
