KUCHING, Oct 3 — Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg today received a courtesy visit from the newly appointed Sarawak Police Commissioner Datuk Mohamad Zainal Abdullah at the Satria Pertiwi Complex.
According to a report by the Sarawak Information Department (JaPen Sarawak), the visit served as an official introduction following Mohamad Zainal’s appointment as Sarawak’s top police officer, succeeding Datuk Mancha Ata, who retired on Sept 29.
“A native of Kampung Seberang Kedai in Lawas, Mohamad Zainal brings extensive experience from his tenure in the Royal Malaysia Police.
“Prior to this role, he served as Deputy Director (Investigation/Legal) of the Criminal Investiga-tion Department at Bukit Aman,” the report reads.
Also present during the visit were Sarawak Security and Enforcement Unit (UKPS) director Abdul Wahab Rahim; Sarawak Deputy Police Commissioner (DCP) Safullizan Ishak; Senior Assistant Commissioners (SAC) Rizal Abdul Rahman Sidek, Mahbub Mustofa Norsalim, and Lim San Ang as well as Assistant Superintendent (ASP) Joshua Masing Lugoh. — The Borneo Post
