KOTA KINABALU, Sept 26 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim arrived at Kota Kinabalu International Airport, Tanjung Aru, at 2pm today for a two-day visit to the state.
He was welcomed by Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor, together with state Cabinet ministers and heads of state and federal agencies.
Anwar, who is also PKR president, will attend three public rallies and gatherings in conjunction with the 27th Anniversary of Reformasi in three districts in Sabah.
Upon arrival, Anwar visited the Kampung Rampayan bridge in Manggatal before heading to the Sungai Inanam jetty for a post-flood inspection in Inanam.
He then visited Dewan Pisompuruan in Kampung Kobuni, Inanam, before attending the second programme at Pusat Komuniti Desa in Merotai Besar, Tawau.
The prime minister will then attend the third programme at Dewan Yu Yuan in Sandakan.
Tomorrow, Anwar will attend the Wira Samudera breakfast event at the Malaysian Armed Forces Quarters Complex, Taman Samudera, Sandakan.
After that, he is scheduled to attend the Wira Madani Tour and the 20th anniversary celebration of the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) at the MMEA Maritime Zone Complex in Sandakan.
The prime minister is scheduled to depart from Sandakan Airport to Batu Berendam International Airport, Melaka, tomorrow. — Bernama
