PETALING JAYA:

The six stations serving the MRT Line that were temporarily closed yesterday have resumed operations.

Operator Rapid Rail said the stations – Taman Equine, Putra Permai, 16 Sierra, Cyberjaya Utara, Cyberjaya City Centre and Sentral – reopened at 6am with train services resuming according to schedule.

“Accordingly, the free shuttle bus service provided during the temporary closure will be discontinued,” it said in a statement.

Rapid Rail also expressed its appreciation to passengers for their patience and cooperation during the recovery works.

The six stations were reported to have been closed yesterday due to a power supply disruption.

Rapid Rail subsequently doubled the number of free shuttle buses operating non-stop between UPM station and Putrajaya Sentral station during the service disruption period, from 10 to 20.
