Police are investigating a scuffle involving the wife and ex-wife of a social media influencer, after both women claimed they sustained minor injuries in the incident.
Ampang Jaya police chief Azam Ismail said the incident took place at around 3.15pm on Monday, after the influencer, who is also a chef, had allowed his ex-wife to retrieve her personal belongings from his house.
While the man had only allowed his ex-wife access to the ground floor of the house, she had gone up to the first floor, prompting his current wife to try and block her from going any further.
“This led to a scuffle between the complainant (the man’s wife) and the ex-wife. The complainant’s brother-in-law and sister-in-law had witnessed the incident,” Azam said in a statement.
Both women filed police reports on the same day, claiming they had suffered minor injuries from the scuffle.
Azam said no arrests had been made and that the case is being probed under Section 323 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt, which is punishable by up to a year in jail, a maximum RM2,000 fine or both, upon conviction.
