KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 23 — Train services on the MRT Putrajaya Line are experiencing significant delays following a power supply disruption between Taman Equine and 16 Sierra Station.
As a result of the technical fault, Rapid KL said it has implemented alternative transportation arrangements to minimise passenger inconvenience during the service interruption.
Trains originating from Kwasa Damansara will now terminate at UPM station and turn back, rather than continuing their normal route to Putrajaya Sentral.
The transport operator has deployed shuttle trains operating between Taman Equine and UPM stations using Platform 1 to maintain partial connectivity along the affected route.
Additionally, shuttle bus services have been arranged to transport passengers from UPM station to Putrajaya Sentral, ensuring complete journey coverage for commuters.
A comprehensive free shuttle bus network comprising ten buses is now operating in both directions between UPM and Putrajaya Sentral, stopping at all intermediate stations including Taman Equine, Putra Permai, 16 Sierra, Cyberjaya Utara, and Cyberjaya City Centre.
The replacement buses are running at frequencies of every 15 to 20 minutes, though actual intervals may vary depending on current traffic conditions along the route.
Rapid KL apologised for the disruption and advised passengers to approach station officers or auxiliary police for assistance, while promising to provide further updates as the situation develops.
