Bukit Aman hails RON95 subsidy programme

KUALA LUMPUR: Federal police have welcomed the government’s rollout of the RON95 Budi Madani (BUDI95) programme.

Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Mohd Khalid Ismail described it as a timely initiative that will directly ease the financial burden of officers and personnel nationwide.

“The fuel subsidy scheme, which takes effect on Sept 27, 2025, for the police and armed forces personnel, is a reflection of the government’s concern for the welfare of its people.

“This noble initiative not only helps reduce the cost of living but also strengthens social well-being and national stability,” he said in a statement.

Khalid said the move showed the government’s commitment to ensuring aid reaches the targeted groups fairly and effectively.

He stressed that the reduced cost of fuel would have a positive impact on officers serving in every corner of the country.

“Direct savings on fuel will increase motivation and resilience among personnel in carrying out their duty to safeguard peace and security,” he said.

He also praised the innovative use of MyKad verification at petrol stations as a mechanism to confirm eligibility, calling it in line with the nation’s digitalisation drive.

“This demonstrates the government’s determination to optimise technology for transparent, efficient and sustainable subsidy governance,” he added.

Khalid reaffirmed the force’s commitment to supporting national agendas, working alongside the government to preserve peace and uphold Malaysia’s standing on the global stage.
