KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 20 (Bernama) — The Road To Gold (RTG) programme has confirmed that all national athletes who won medals at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and met the sponsorship criteria received their rewards within two months.
In a statement today, RTG said they received several sponsorship offers that aimed to reward national athletes who won medals at the Paris 2024 and ensured all offers were documented to protect the rights of the athletes.
RTG Programme Coordinator Datuk Stuart Ramalingam explained that all athletes’ commercial interests were protected during the Paris 2024.
“We ensured that commercial arrangements were in place for every sponsorship offer that came in, regardless of the outcome at the Olympics.
“With so much at stake for the athletes, it was crucial we ensured they did not lose out once they successfully met the sponsorship criteria, while all parties are also fully aware of their rights and obligations and to safeguard the interests of all involved,” he said.
