Sultan of Pahang presents keys to Ru'RASA homes in Kuantan

KUANTAN: Sultan of Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah today officiated the key handover ceremony for the Rumah Rakyat Al-Sultan Abdullah (Ru’RASA) housing initiative at Kampung Paya Luas, near here.

A post on the official Facebook page of the Pahang Royal Household said the state’s ruler arrived at 12.20pm, driving himself and accompanied by the Tengku Ampuan of Pahang, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah.

The posting added that Al-Sultan Abdullah personally handed over the keys to the Ru’RASA homes to 50 recipients from Temerloh, Bera, Jerantut and Maran.

His Majesty expressed hope that the Ru’RASA homes and other housing initiatives by the state government would be treasured and appropriately maintained by the people.

“Transform this house into a paradise for your family. This home is intended for the recipients and their offspring to live in forever, so please do not hastily dwell on negative thoughts.

“Take good care of this house, make it a place where you can perform your devotions comfortably,” His Majesty also said.

Al-Sultan Abdullah expressed hope that housing initiatives like Ru’RASA will be extended to all races, as they are also citizens of Pahang.

His Majesty also decreed that the issue of water supply shortages affecting residents in traditional villages and Orang Asli settlements should receive immediate attention, rather than attention being focused solely on ongoing projects.

“I hope the water issue can be resolved effectively. In the near future, I would like to have a detailed briefing in my office about the water supply projects, so I can review them personally. This time, I want to closely observe the projects being carried out in all districts of Pahang,” the ruler added. – BERNAMA
