SHAH ALAM:
The Selangor Royal Office has filed a police report over a fake TikTok account that used artificial intelligence (AI) to generate footage using the image of the Tengku Permaisuri of Selangor, Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin.
In a Facebook post, the royal office said the fake account, with the handle “@dato.mohd.noor0”, was also found to be misusing images of other persons and public figures for alleged scams.
“The public is urged to remain vigilant and verify information before being misled by such fake accounts on social media,” the statement said.
Social media users were urged to report suspicious accounts directly to platform operators.
Shah Alam police chief Iqbal Ibrahim confirmed that the report has been received.
