The handheld gaming brand Ayaneo has just launched the Pocket AIR Mini, touted to be the company’s most accessible console yet. According to the official landing page, the console is said to have “flagship DNA” like its other, more robust units but retails for an “entry-level price”.

In terms of specs, the Pocket AIR Mini sports a 4.2-inch LCD display, 1280 x 960 resolution, and can reach a maximum brightness of 500 nits. As for controls, it is outfitted with Hall-effect joysticks and triggers with RGB lighting, a D-pad, and face buttons. Additionally, the device features an AYA key and other navigation buttons for easy system access. The console also has a USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and Bluetooth 5.0 for wireless accessories.

Under the hood, the Ayaneo handheld runs on a MediaTek Helio G90T octa-core processor, paired with up to 3GB of RAM and up to 64GB of storage; storage can be expanded with a microSD. It is also packing two Cortex-A76 performance cores and six Cortex-A55 efficiency cores alongside a Mali-G76 MP4 GPU. Powering the device is a 4,500mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging.

Software-wise, the Pocket AIR Mini runs on Android 11 that features Ayaneo’s very own AYASpace and AYAHome. For those unfamiliar with the software suite, they provide performance tuning, fan controls, library management, and button mapping.
